Dr. Ashley Robel, D.C.

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Ashley Robel grew up in southeastern Wisconsin. She was raised in a big family that was very competitive in hunting and sports. In her high school days, Dr. Ashley competed in basketball, soccer, cross country and track in all 4 years of her high school career. She loves competition. Competing in sports has taught her a lot about discipline and focus which allowed her to carry that over into other areas of her life.

After high school she went to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for Athletic Training and changed her path during sophomore year to pre-chiropractic/biology. She pursued her passion for lifting weights which she learned from her sports programs in HS and also running.

Moving to St. Louis, Missouri after 4 years at UW-Milwaukee, Dr. Ashley chose Logan College of Chiropractic to obtain her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.

After graduating from Logan Dr. Ashley obtained her certification in fitness nutrition, practiced 5 years of her career in St. Louis and another 4 years in Tampa, Florida from 2017-2021. She just recently moved to New Mexico in 2021 to continue learning and growing in her career with Dr. Tony. She is extremely excited to be working with Gonstead Physical Medicine and to continue to help people in this Albuquerque and Rio Rancho community.

Dr. Ashley just gave birth to her daughter last fall and is looking forward to raising her family here. Her family loves the outdoors and being able to explore nature. Connecting to nature is something Dr. Ashley believes can have a very positive effect on our mentalities and our health.

During her chiropractic studies starting in 2009 to today Dr. Ashley has ran 3 marathons, competed very competitively in CrossFit for 2 years, bodybuilding/figure in the NPC for 3 years, and powerlifting for 3 years in many different federations. She obtained a national rank in the NPC during her bodybuilding competitive years and also ranked top 20 in the world in her weight class when she competed in powerlifting up until 2020. Having these competitive extreme sport backgrounds has brought even more knowledge to her patients she sees on a daily basis.

You can find Dr. Ashley at the gym working on her biomechanics and lifting, hiking with her family, or learning more in her career to bring more knowledge to her community. She is very excited to meet the new faces that come through our Gonstead Physical Medicine clinics. She is grateful to be able to help Dr. Tony?s vision to help people get out of pain, to improve the quality of their lives, and to help change our modern day healthcare system.
